IAM Director, Employer Engagement

As IAM Director for Employer Engagement, you'll lead identity and access management strategy and execution that supports this vast employer ecosystem and strengthens Merck's competitive position in one of healthcare's largest customer markets.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute comprehensive IAM strategies tailored to employer and union partner needs
• Oversee identity management systems, access controls, and authentication infrastructure supporting employer relationships
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant access solutions and governance frameworks
• Partner with employer engagement, sales, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical IAM architecture
• Ensure regulatory compliance and data security standards across employer-facing platforms and integrations
• Manage policy, risk, and security protocols governing employer access and data protection
• Drive continuous improvement in IAM processes, user experience, and operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Director-level experience in identity and access management or related security leadership role
• Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing IAM solutions at enterprise scale
• Strong understanding of healthcare, employer benefits, or similar complex B2B environments
• Track record leading high-performing teams through technical transformation and strategy execution
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, regulatory standards in healthcare)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Strategic thinking paired with hands-on technical credibility
