Hiring Day Time Caregiver

Safe Harbor Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable Day Time Caregiver to join our growing team in Carlsbad and throughout San Diego County. This is a full-time position supporting clients with daily living activities and personal care assistance in their homes.

About the Role

As a Day Time Caregiver with Safe Harbor Home Care, you'll provide direct personal care services to clients who need support maintaining their independence and quality of life. Working full-time, you'll earn $20–$23 per hour depending on your experience and availability, with weekly pay and the flexibility to choose shifts that work for your schedule. Your work will make a tangible difference in clients' daily routines while you grow your skills in a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist clients with personal care activities including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support meal preparation and assist with eating when needed
• Help with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques to ensure safety
• Provide companionship and emotional support throughout the day
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment for clients
• Document care provided and communicate with family members and supervisors
• Respond compassionately to client needs and report any concerns

• Genuine compassion and patience working with vulnerable individuals
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout San Diego County
• Ability to lift and transfer clients safely (physical capability required)
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
• Trustworthiness and integrity in a client's home environment
• Previous caregiving or home care experience is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
