Head of Global Benefits

Humans of HR is recruiting a Head of Global Benefits to join a global organisation based in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia. This is a full-time leadership position where you'll shape benefits strategy and employee wellbeing on an international scale.

What This Role Involves

As Head of Global Benefits, you'll lead the design, implementation, and administration of comprehensive benefits programmes across multiple jurisdictions. You'll partner with senior leadership to align benefits offerings with organisational goals, whilst ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards worldwide. This strategic position offers the opportunity to influence how the global workforce experiences employee benefits and wellbeing support.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee global benefits strategy and programme architecture
• Manage benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators across international markets
• Ensure regulatory compliance with benefits laws and requirements in each jurisdiction
• Lead benefits communications and employee education initiatives
• Monitor benefits costs, analyse spending trends, and optimise value delivery
• Collaborate with human resources, finance, and legal teams on benefits governance
• Evaluate benefits effectiveness through employee feedback and participation metrics

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership experience managing global benefits programmes
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits administration and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple legal jurisdictions
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience negotiating with vendors and controlling benefits expenses
• Strategic thinking with operational excellence and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in human resources, benefits administration, or a related field
