About the Role
As Recreation Facility Supervisor, you'll manage all aspects of a city recreation facility's operations. You'll lead a team, implement programs, maintain facilities, and ensure exceptional experiences for the diverse communities we serve across Little Rock and the surrounding area.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and train recreation facility staff, fostering a culture of customer service excellence and professional development
- Oversee daily facility operations, including scheduling, safety protocols, maintenance coordination, and cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement recreation programs, classes, and events that meet community needs and drive participation
- Monitor budgets, manage resources efficiently, and prepare reports on facility performance and program outcomes
- Ensure compliance with city policies, safety regulations, and ADA standards
- Address member and patron concerns, resolve conflicts, and build positive relationships with the community
- Coordinate with city departments and community partners to enhance programming and facility utilization
What We're Looking For
- Proven supervisory or management experience in parks, recreation, fitness, or a related field
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage budgets, scheduling, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of facility operations, maintenance, and safety best practices
- Commitment to customer service and community engagement
- High school diploma or GED (relevant professional experience preferred)
