Head of Data

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization with operations across multiple markets. Our client has built sophisticated multi-currency payment infrastructure that generates complex data streams related to B2B payments, treasury operations, FX pricing, and financial reconciliations.

We're searching for a Head of Data to develop the data function and enable every team—finance, operations, product, sales, trading, and treasury—to leverage data in their daily decisions. This role reports directly to executive leadership and will have company-wide impact.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the analytics layer that powers business operations: dashboards and steering tools for finance, operations, sales, trading, and treasury functions
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evolve database architecture and define data models that serve the entire organization
• Partner with business teams across all departments to understand data requirements and deliver the dashboards and tooling they need
• Embed with product squads to ensure new features integrate seamlessly with existing data systems and prevent dashboard breakage
• Select and integrate data infrastructure tools including data lakes, transformation pipelines, and reporting systems
• Make business teams autonomous by documenting data models and training managers to query data within their scopes
• Review schema changes before release, arbitrate data implications of product decisions, and guarantee continuity of reporting pipelines

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience working in data roles
• Strong SQL expertise; in-depth experience with Postgres highly valued
• Proven experience with data tooling and infrastructure
• Experience with dbt, BigQuery, and Google Cloud Platform data ecosystem appreciated
• Background with fintech data systems (multi-currency environments, FX exchanges, ledger systems, balance logic, financial reconciliations) strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clarity around complex data problems
• Strong data engineering skills combined with business acumen
• Fluent French and professional English required
• Located in or willing to relocate to Paris
