About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential preventive health technology client expanding across Europe. They are processing clinical health data at significant scale across multiple countries and experiencing rapid week-over-week growth with a lean technical team.

We're seeking experienced platform engineers who build systems rather than features—individuals who take end-to-end ownership, leverage AI tooling strategically, and consistently raise engineering standards. You'll work in an environment where you write specifications that agents execute, review AI-generated code critically, and make architectural decisions that compound over time.

The exact scope will be shaped collaboratively based on your strengths and organizational needs, spanning areas including backend services, frontend experiences, infrastructure, and AI integration.

Responsibilities

Backend Focus (Membership & Payments):

• Design and maintain reliable data models and services for membership growth systems
• Own subscription lifecycle management, checkout flows, payment processing, and promotional systems
• Handle multi-country complexity including currencies, payment methods, and regulatory requirements across the EU
• Ensure financial transactions are secure, accurate, and fail safely in all edge cases
• Build systems where subtle bugs cannot compromise revenue or user trust

Frontend Focus (Engagement & Experience):

• Create exceptional user experiences for first-time visitors and returning members
• Own acquisition funnels, onboarding flows, checkout experiences, and core product surfaces
• Build interfaces that are clear, intuitive, and delightful
• Proactively propose solutions without waiting for complete design specifications
• Ensure reliability and polish for users making critical health decisions

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of confirmed engineering experience in your specialty (backend or frontend)
• Track record of shipping at least one product from zero to one
• Two areas of deep technical expertise with ability to operate across the full stack when needed
• Experience writing precise specifications before code implementation
• Proficiency reviewing and evaluating AI-generated code for edge cases, security, and design quality

Technical Environment:

• TypeScript monorepo, Next.js, NestJS
• PostgreSQL with Prisma
• AWS infrastructure (Terraform, Qovery)
• GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• AI tooling including Claude Code and Cursor

Location: Paris-based role. The client works collaboratively from their Paris location and values in-person collaboration. Relocation support may be available for exceptional candidates.
