About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential CRO organization that is actively seeking an experienced Global Study Manager II to join their team in Spain. This is a temporary position through April 2027, offering 100% remote work flexibility. Our client operates a sponsor-dedicated model, and this role will provide leadership across multi-country clinical trials.
In this position, you will lead trial teams and be accountable for the overall success and delivery of assigned clinical trials according to defined milestones and KPIs. You will steer clinical trial activities including patient and site engagement, and direct communication with multiple internal and external stakeholders on a global basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate planning and operational feasibility of trial timelines; oversee trial preparation to ensure team alignment and track progress
- Support development of trial-level documents owned by other functions including Statistics, Data Management, and Medical Writing
- Verify and provide input into country allocation; oversee trial feasibility activities
- Maintain oversight during clinical trial conduct including adherence to GCP and all global and local regulatory requirements; ensure compliance with SOPs and continuous risk monitoring and mitigation
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure budget oversight, including support of regular clinical quality monitoring, SMC/DMC management, and safety reporting
- Prepare and implement amendments of core documents, including training material updates and retraining as needed
- Support authority and ethics responses to requests as applicable
- Ensure timely cleaning and delivery of clinical trial data; coordinate with trial medical writers in providing the CTR
- Ensure timely, complete, and compliant archiving of all relevant global documents in the TMF, including required vendor documents
- Support results and documents disclosure for global registries
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 6 years of relevant global study management or leadership experience
- Experience with oversight of CROs and vendors
- Experience managing per-subject costs, vendor and ancillary costs, and monitoring cost projections and spend
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required to support global trials or initiatives
- Ability to travel as required, including investigator meetings, vendor kick-off and reset meetings, and client internal meetings
- Technical proficiency in trial management systems and MS applications, including Teams, MS Office, Project, CTMS, EDC, and IWRS/IVRS
- Knowledge of ICH GCP and relevant regulatory guidelines and directives
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to understand and implement strategic direction and guidance for respective clinical studies
- Effective communication skills via verbal, written, and presentation formats
