About the Role

As a part-time Gifted Education Teacher with Nicholas County Schools, you will design and deliver enriched, differentiated learning experiences for identified gifted and talented students. Serving the district in Carlisle, Nicholas County, you will nurture exceptional ability and guide students toward advanced academic success. Please note this is strictly a part-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and provide appropriate, challenging instruction that develops the potential of gifted and talented learners.
• Support students in the primary talent pool as well as those in grades 4 through 12 across the district.
• Foster advanced academic achievement through tailored, high-level learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and families to identify and meet the needs of gifted students.
• Monitor progress and adjust strategies to help each student grow toward their highest capability.

Qualifications

• Appropriate state certification or endorsement to teach gifted and talented education.
• Knowledge of identification practices and instructional approaches for gifted learners across primary through secondary grade levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a district-wide capacity across multiple schools.
• Strong commitment to supporting the academic growth of high-ability students.
• Availability for a part-time schedule.
