About the Role
As a General Education Paraprofessional, you will work alongside certified teachers to deliver effective classroom instruction, support diverse learners, and contribute to a positive educational environment. This is a full-time position based at Sloulin Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year.
What You'll Do
- Assist teachers with whole-group, small-group, and individual student instruction across core academic subjects
- Provide targeted academic support to help students meet grade-level standards in reading, math, and other areas
- Monitor student behavior and progress, documenting observations to inform instruction and intervention
- Prepare classroom materials, organize instructional resources, and set up learning stations
- Support classroom management and help maintain an organized, inclusive learning environment
- Work with students of varying abilities and backgrounds to promote engagement and confidence
- Assist with supervised activities including transitions, lunch, and recess
- Communicate regularly with teachers and administrators regarding student needs and academic progress

- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
