Full Stack Senior Engineering Lead

About the Role

As a Full Stack Senior Engineering Lead at Citi's Irving, Texas office, you'll drive the technical vision and execution of full-stack applications while mentoring a team of engineers. This is a hands-on leadership position combining individual contribution with people leadership, where you'll architect solutions across frontend and backend technologies, establish coding standards, and champion best practices in software engineering.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end software solutions using modern full-stack technologies
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures
• Establish and enforce coding standards, code review practices, and quality assurance processes
• Architect backend services and APIs while ensuring responsive, intuitive frontend experiences
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and drive resolution of production issues
• Contribute to platform modernization and technical debt reduction initiatives
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of engineering talent

Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise across full-stack development
• Advanced proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or similar)
• Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks and technologies (React, Vue, Angular, or equivalent)
• Proven experience designing and building scalable APIs and microservices architectures
• Track record of leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
• Deep understanding of database design, distributed systems, and cloud platforms
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
