Position Summary

This Vice President role manages the design, development, and deployment of applications powering Citi's trading operations across global markets. As Application Development Manager for Trading Platforms, you'll combine technical depth with strategic vision to advance our technology capabilities while ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance. You'll work at the intersection of market demands and technical innovation, shaping the platform direction and fostering an engineering culture of excellence within your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor application development teams responsible for trading platform systems and tools
• Define development strategy, architecture standards, and technical roadmaps for trading applications
• Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle from conception through deployment and optimization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, risk management, and infrastructure teams
• Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and technology modernization initiatives
• Ensure applications meet stringent security, compliance, and operational risk requirements
• Champion best practices in software engineering, code quality, and testing methodologies

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in software development and application architecture, with a minimum of 10+ years in technology roles
• Proven track record in managing and developing engineering teams at scale
• Strong background in financial technology, trading systems, or capital markets platforms
• Deep technical expertise in modern application development frameworks and languages
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud infrastructure, microservices, or distributed systems
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in financial services
