Full Stack Engineer

We are representing a confidential technology client in their search for a Full Stack Engineer based in the United Kingdom. Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is partnering with a global data intelligence organization that serves commodity, energy, and maritime sectors with sophisticated analytical platforms.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will design and implement full-stack solutions that power critical business systems and internal tooling:

• Build and maintain scalable backend services using PHP, including payment processing and subscription billing infrastructure
• Develop responsive, accessible user interfaces with React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Implement comprehensive automated testing strategies including end-to-end test coverage
• Manage relational database schemas and optimize SQL queries for performance
• Debug production issues and maintain system observability through logging and monitoring
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, Revenue Operations, and CRM teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Contribute to code quality improvements and legacy system modernization efforts
• Participate in Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD processes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong PHP backend development skills
• Proven experience working with large-scale production codebases
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design
• Hands-on experience designing and consuming REST APIs and building system integrations
• Practical experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React or similar modern frontend frameworks
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, automated testing, Docker, and Kubernetes
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure
• Exposure to payment gateways such as Stripe and subscription lifecycle management
• Background refactoring legacy systems or working with high-volume, data-intensive applications
