FP&A Analyst

We are representing a confidential energy technology organisation headquartered in London that is building a world-class Financial Planning & Analysis team to support rapid global expansion. This is an exceptional opportunity for a high-calibre FP&A Analyst with a background in investment banking, private equity, or top-tier strategy roles to transition from advisory into operations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for scenario planning, investment evaluation, and risk assessment
• Support the annual budgeting process and develop monthly/quarterly reporting and KPIs to improve transparency and accountability
• Master multiple data sources to respond to ad hoc analytical requests quickly and accurately; develop dashboards into scalable self-service tools
• Proactively diagnose operational bottlenecks and deploy data-driven solutions to improve execution
• Prepare high-quality analysis and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including board-level materials
• Collaborate with commercial, product, and operations leaders to align financial outcomes with strategic initiatives

What We're Looking For

• More than 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or top-tier corporate finance/FP&A roles
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel and SQL
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or specialised FP&A software (Pigment, Anaplan) is beneficial
• Proven ability to frame problems, test hypotheses, and draw insights from complex or incomplete data in ambiguous situations
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect business imperatives, stakeholder priorities, and external factors
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable challenging assumptions constructively with senior stakeholders
• Proactive self-starter who can work independently in a fast-moving, scaling environment
• Low ego and collaborative mindset; equally comfortable developing three-year strategic plans as troubleshooting spreadsheet errors
• Commercially curious and outcome-focused with a "maker" mentality
• Must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application; visa sponsorship is not available
