Founding Product Manager (Y Combinator Startup)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded construction technology startup based in Munich that is transforming how the building industry manages critical operations. Our client has secured significant backing from top-tier investors and is entering an exciting growth phase. We're seeking their first dedicated Product Manager to join the founding team and shape the future of their platform.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a fast-growing company that's digitizing an industry with massive untapped potential. You'll work directly with the founding team and have end-to-end ownership of product streams that directly impact customers across Germany.

Responsibilities

• Own complete product streams from conception through delivery, working closely with the technical and founding teams
• Conduct customer discovery through direct client contact and collaboration with the customer success organization
• Lead feature implementation with customers, ensuring solutions meet real-world needs
• Manage complex projects requiring coordination across multiple stakeholders and technical teams
• Design and conceptualize features with strong attention to UX and user experience
• Translate customer conversations into product specifications and roadmap priorities
• Participate actively in user interviews and application discussions to gather insights

What We're Looking For

• Practical experience in product management (founding PM role, so adaptability is key)
• Strong technical understanding (software engineering background not required, but helpful)
• Native or near-native fluency in German is essential for customer interactions
• Proactive working style with ability to take initiative independently
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
• Quick learner ready to tackle startup challenges head-on
• Knowledge or experience in construction, building trades, or related industries is advantageous
• Available to start immediately
• Able to work on-site in Munich (beautiful office location in Maxvorstadt)
