About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential SaaS client in the food and beverage manufacturing sector. They are building their founding engineering team and seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join at the ground level. This is a rare opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a well-funded early-stage company solving complex operational challenges for manufacturers.
Our client has raised significant seed funding and is supported by experienced advisors from the industry. They are building vertical software that consolidates fragmented systems and streamlines workflows for production facilities.
Responsibilities
As a Founding Engineer, you will:
- Work directly with the executive team to understand product strategy and drive software development using lean and agile methodologies
- Be involved in all aspects of the software development process and architectural decisions
- Design and implement modular systems across the full stack with the right balance of structure and flexibility
- Build solutions that enable positive user experiences and meet business needs for pilot and future customers
- Contribute to recruiting and building the engineering organization as the team scales
- Work across front-end, back-end, database, and DevOps layers with significant autonomy
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- 5+ years of experience architecting, developing, testing, and launching web applications end to end
- Experience working across the full stack (front-end, back-end, database, DevOps)
- Fast learner comfortable dealing with ambiguity and hard problems
- Experience with software development best practices including Scrum, testing, lean development, SOLID principles, and code reviews
- Someone who takes ownership and can be depended on to deliver on commitments
Bonus Points:
- Previous experience at a high-growth, fast-paced startup
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in becoming a future founder
- Experience with NextJS, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Mantine UI, PostgreSQL, Prisma, or tRPC API
