Fluidic System Engineer / Architect (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential aerospace client seeking a Fluidic System Engineer / Architect to join their orbital systems team in München, Germany. This is a permanent, full-time position working on cutting-edge spacecraft propulsion and fluidic system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define fluidic system architectures in collaboration with multi-disciplinary domain architects
• Perform fluidic system simulations including performance calculations, steady and transient CFD, and thermal analysis
• Execute systems engineering tasks including requirements engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
• Provide technical leadership across project teams
• Drive manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing (MAIT) activities with hands-on support
• Coordinate design and mechanical engineering teams
• Interface directly with customers and suppliers on technical matters
• Support proposal preparation and business development activities

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of demonstrated expertise in fluidic systems engineering
• Knowledge of space systems and subsystems
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Hands-on mindset for hardware-related activities
• Proactive, structured approach with ability to work independently and collaboratively

Highly valued experience:

• Propulsion systems architecture, including experience with specialized propellants
• Propellant ground handling experience including safety requirements
• Fluidic system simulation tools such as ECOSIM, ESPSS, Simulink, or Matlab
• Familiarity with MBSE concepts, requirements engineering principles, and ECSS standards
• 10+ years of experience in fluidic system architecture and technical leadership (for senior-level candidates)
