Senior Product Manager – Software Solutions

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential industrial technology organization in their search for a Senior Product Manager - Software Solutions based in Munich. This is a high-impact role for someone ready to build and scale a software business within an established company. You will own strategy, P&L, growth, and customer outcomes—essentially acting as the CEO of the software and service line.

This is not a caretaker role. You will be building something new, with direct accountability for measurable impact on growth, competitive positioning, and profitability. The position reports to the Chief Product Officer and sits within a collaborative product management team.

Responsibilities

• Own the P&L for the software product line, including ARR growth, attach rate, net revenue retention, and customer adoption metrics
• Define long-term strategy and positioning for the software business, prioritizing markets, verticals, and use cases with high growth potential
• Lead go-to-market strategy across sales, marketing, and customer-facing functions to build repeatable ARR growth engines
• Develop pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies that maximize long-term value creation
• Act as executive sponsor for strategic customers and lighthouse deployments, ensuring measurable ROI and customer outcomes
• Align Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams around shared business outcomes
• Establish operating rhythms, business reviews, and performance management disciplines
• Translate customer needs into scalable product solutions and business priorities
• Drive software penetration across the installed base and build expansion and renewal motions
• Make investment and resource allocation decisions that balance innovation, execution, and commercial impact

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5–8+ years of experience in product management, preferably in software, cloud, SaaS, or IoT environments
• Proven track record delivering cloud-based or SaaS products
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to translate customer needs into scalable product solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence teams and senior leadership
• Professional fluency in English
• Commercially obsessed and outcome-driven mindset—you think in terms of value, outcomes, and usage, not features
• Comfortable working in dynamic and evolving environments
• Able to navigate both technical and commercial discussions
• Strong business acumen and motivation to build something that changes how a company operates

Nice to Have:

• Experience in industrial technology, IoT, hardware, or embedded systems
• Experience establishing and changing SaaS business models
• Background in enterprise or B2B software
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with product-led growth and monetization strategies
• Experience with IoT platforms

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive with the Munich market for senior product management roles in software and SaaS.
