Fast Track to Leadership Trainee

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential logistics organization seeking a Fast Track to Leadership Trainee to join their supply chain and operations team in Hamm, North Rhine-Westphalia. This accelerated two-year development program transforms recent graduates into Operations Managers with full responsibility for teams, processes, and strategic initiatives.

Year 1: Operations Supervisor - Building Operational Foundations

• Complete structured onboarding and build your network while learning fulfillment center operations from the ground up
• Lead operational shifts 3-4 days per week as Operations Supervisor, planning and coordinating team activities with direct impact on performance
• Develop leadership capabilities through mentoring, training sessions on feedback techniques, and coaching team members through challenging situations
• Identify optimization opportunities and independently execute improvement projects 1-2 days per week that increase productivity, streamline processes, and eliminate bottlenecks

Year 2: Operations Manager - Driving Impact Across Locations

• Take on national or international assignments at different facilities or explore other supply chain functions, leading new teams in unfamiliar environments
• Lead cross-location strategic initiatives 3-4 days per week, optimizing order processes or supporting new automated facilities while maintaining 1-2 operational shift days
• Apply your operational expertise and analytical skills to elevate supply chain performance across the organization
• Position yourself for continued growth as an experienced Operations Manager or transition into other roles within the organization

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or comparable field - recently completed or within 6 months of completion
• Practical experience in supply chain environments through internships or working student positions
• Fluent German and very good English language skills
• Enthusiasm for taking direct team responsibility as a trainee, motivating and developing people from day one
• Hands-on mentality with proven ability to transform ideas into successful projects while leading by example
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to identify problems early
• Flexibility and excitement for a role spanning both office and operational warehouse environments, including shift work
