About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization in Karlsruhe seeking a functional software tester with banking domain expertise. This role bridges business knowledge and technical quality assurance, ensuring that banking applications meet both functional requirements and industry standards.
Our client works with financial institutions to deliver and optimize banking systems. As a tester on their team, you will validate that software solutions work correctly from a banking perspective—ensuring they align with how banking professionals actually use them in practice.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and develop test cases and test concepts for banking applications
- Execute manual and automated tests, documenting results with precision
- Support user acceptance testing directly with end users and accompany business units during system implementation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategy and bring new ideas for quality assurance
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and functional departments in a solutions-oriented manner
What We're Looking For
- Completed vocational training as a bank clerk (Bankkaufmann/-frau) or several years of experience in banking
- Curiosity about IT and desire to apply banking expertise in software projects, or existing experience as a software tester in banking environments
- ISTQB certification is advantageous
- Experience with testing tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aqua, Postman, Selenium, Cypress, or FitNesse is a plus
- Structured, quality-conscious work style with the ability to maintain overview in complex scenarios
- Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) are required
