Environment Advisor (12 month FTC)

Porsche Cars GB Ltd is seeking an experienced Environment Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract role based in Reading, England. This is an excellent opportunity to drive environmental and sustainability initiatives across a global automotive manufacturer.

Role Overview

As Environment Advisor, you will champion environmental compliance, sustainability improvement, and regulatory adherence across Porsche Cars GB Ltd's operations in Reading. Working within a dynamic team, you'll translate environmental strategy into practical action, ensuring the organisation meets current and emerging environmental standards whilst identifying opportunities to enhance our ecological impact and operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and management systems aligned with UK and EU regulations
• Monitor environmental compliance across facilities, reviewing processes and practices for regulatory alignment
• Conduct environmental assessments and audits to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Support carbon footprint measurement, analysis, and reduction initiatives
• Prepare environmental reports and metrics for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with operational teams to embed sustainable practices into daily workflows
• Advise on waste management, emissions reduction, and resource efficiency programmes
• Stay current with environmental legislation and industry standards to inform internal guidance

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability, or a closely related discipline
• Proven experience in environmental management, compliance, or sustainability within a regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of UK and European environmental legislation and reporting frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to analyse environmental data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills
