Enterprise Jamf Engineer

Overview

We are representing a confidential federal technology client seeking an Enterprise Jamf Engineer to join their Mobile Device Management team. This role focuses on deploying, configuring, and supporting a Jamf Pro-based macOS management solution for approximately 150 users. You'll ensure secure, efficient device management while collaborating with IT teams to align with organizational policies and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Jamf Pro for managing macOS devices, including enrollment, configuration profiles, policies, and application deployment
• Administer and troubleshoot macOS devices to ensure compliance with security standards and software updates
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for macOS-related issues, working with end-users and IT support teams
• Enforce security policies, manage encryption, and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python) for workflows, reporting, and device management tasks
• Oversee deployment of macOS updates, third-party patches, and firmware updates
• Maintain accurate device inventory and generate compliance and usage reports
• Integrate Jamf Pro with identity providers and endpoint security tools
• Create documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides
• Provide training to IT staff and end-users as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 3+ years managing macOS devices in an enterprise environment using Jamf Pro
• Proven track record deploying MDM solutions for user groups of 100-200 users
• US Citizenship required (must be eligible to obtain Department of Homeland Security EOD clearance)

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Jamf Pro administration (Smart Groups, Policies, PreStage Enrollments, Self Service)
• Strong macOS system administration knowledge including file systems, permissions, and networking
• Experience integrating Jamf Pro with identity providers and security tools
• Understanding of Apple's Device Enrollment Program (DEP) and Volume Purchase Program (VPP)
• Scripting proficiency for automation and customization

Preferred Qualifications:

• Jamf Certified Associate, Jamf Certified Admin, or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)
• Experience managing iOS/iPadOS devices in Jamf Pro
• Knowledge of endpoint security tools and Microsoft Intune
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
