Engineering Manager – Experimentation

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization that has built a powerful experimentation platform used both internally and as a commercial product. Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team across Europe, managing engineers who build and scale systems that enable thousands of experiments annually.

This role is based in London and offers hybrid flexibility. You'll be coaching a skilled engineering team while partnering with product managers and staff engineers to deliver high-quality features that serve both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and develop the careers of a distributed team of engineers across Europe
• Ensure high-quality, timely deliveries while maintaining strong team culture
• Partner with product managers on prioritization and product vision
• Collaborate with staff engineers to formulate technical strategy aligned with business objectives
• Perform hands-on engineering work as needed to support the team
• Foster creativity, collaboration, and courage within your team
• Support your engineering team in delivering an exceptional product experience

What We're Looking For

• Strong people leadership experience with a track record of developing engineering talent
• Background as a senior individual contributor with demonstrated technical expertise
• Experience building and scaling distributed systems that serve millions of users
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses and large-scale data processing
• Prior work on commercial SaaS products, taking features from concept to launch
• Excellence in cultivating engineering culture within agile environments
• Passion for software engineering best practices and solving large-scale technical challenges
• High standards for product quality and team performance
• Comfort with unfamiliar territories and continuous learning
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve effectiveness
