About the Role
As an Elementary Paraprofessional at Ellinwood Elementary School, you'll work alongside teachers to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. In this classified, at-will position, you'll provide direct support to students, manage classroom operations, and help create an environment conducive to learning and growth. Your contributions will directly influence the academic progress and social-emotional development of the students you serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction and learning activities
- Support small-group and individual student instruction under teacher supervision
- Help maintain a well-organized, positive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and student behavioral support
- Prepare materials and resources to support instructional lessons
- Monitor and document student progress as directed by classroom teachers
- Support students with special needs or learning challenges
- Communicate effectively with teachers and families about student progress
