Renewable Transport Services, an award-winning, family-owned trucking enterprise, is actively recruiting an experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) CDL-A driver to join our team in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County. This full-time position offers competitive weekly compensation between $1,500 and $2,000, with the opportunity to build a rewarding career transporting freight across diverse operations.
About the Role
As an OTR CDL-A driver with Renewable Transport Services, you'll operate commercial tractor-trailers on long-distance routes, hauling dry van, reefer, specialized, and expedited freight. You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, timely delivery of loads while maintaining compliance with all Department of Transportation regulations and company safety standards.
What You'll Do
- Operate commercial vehicles for long-distance freight transport across established routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity
- Maintain accurate logs in compliance with Hours of Service regulations
- Deliver freight loads safely and on schedule to designated destinations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or vehicle issues
- Transport varied freight types including dry van, reefer, specialized, and expedited shipments
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical concerns
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with current medical certification
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles in over-the-road driving
- Clean driving record and safety-first mindset
- Strong mechanical knowledge and vehicle maintenance awareness
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Professional demeanor and reliability in meeting delivery schedules
- Familiarity with multiple freight types and load hauling procedures
