Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential structural biology organization seeking a senior business development leader for the US North East territory. In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand market presence across the East Coast
- Grow current accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech companies
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and facilitate cross-functional cooperation
- Lead high-level negotiations and close deals that drive significant revenue growth
- Represent the organization at major industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network with industry leaders
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of business development experience, ideally with 5 years in the CRO industry
- Proven track record of successful sales and territory management within the CRO space
- Degree in a life science-related field
- Extensive network within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries with ability to leverage connections to close business
- Deep understanding of early drug discovery processes, structural biology, proteins, biologics, biophysics, and integrated programs
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective business development strategies
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships
- Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
