Director, Product Marketing, Legal & Insurance

Datavant, the leading data collaboration platform for healthcare, is hiring a Director, Product Marketing for our Legal & Insurance division in Capitol, Richmond. This full-time role leads product marketing strategy for the healthcare legal and insurance sectors.

About the Role

As Director of Product Marketing, Legal & Insurance, you'll drive go-to-market strategy and product positioning for Datavant's offerings serving legal teams, compliance organizations, and insurance providers within healthcare. You'll own the narrative that helps these audiences understand how Datavant's solutions enable secure, accessible data collaboration.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute product marketing strategies tailored to healthcare legal and insurance verticals
• Define value propositions, messaging frameworks, and positioning that resonate with compliance, legal, and insurance decision-makers
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and marketing teams to align go-to-market initiatives
• Create product marketing content—case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and technical materials—that educate and convert target audiences
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights to inform product and marketing strategy
• Manage product launch planning and execution for new features and services targeting these segments
• Measure and optimize marketing campaign performance, reporting on key metrics and ROI

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of product marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent leadership role
• Deep familiarity with healthcare compliance, data privacy, or insurance regulatory environments
• Proven ability to develop and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong skills in market segmentation, competitive analysis, and messaging development
• Experience leading product launches and managing cross-functional stakeholders
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills
• Ability to synthesize customer feedback and market data into actionable strategy
