Director, Business Development – Financial Services

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global organization in the language services sector, seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to join their London team. This role offers the opportunity to work with international brands helping them communicate and operate effectively across markets.

Our client is looking for an established sales professional who can leverage existing Financial Services sector knowledge to drive new business development through direct sales strategies.

Responsibilities

• Source and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, tradeshows, and regional organizations
• Build and manage a productive sales pipeline through each phase of the sales process
• Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships by delivering exceptional service and demonstrating industry knowledge
• Formulate and execute sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
• Generate daily outreach efforts including direct mail, digital marketing, and cold calls to prospective clients
• Present solutions via one-on-one, group, online, and in-person meetings
• Set and manage client expectations while consulting on best practices
• Manage pricing and contractual negotiations
• Travel domestically and internationally for conferences and client meetings

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in a similar role
• Established knowledge and network within the Financial Services sector
• Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
• Proven ability to communicate value propositions and competitive advantages
• Strong multitasking abilities and comfort working in fast-paced environments
• Service-focused mindset with commitment to exceeding client expectations
• Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships across diverse backgrounds
• Financial acumen and sound decision-making capabilities
• High level of integrity and personal accountability
