Direct Support Staff

Advocates seeks compassionate, dedicated Direct Support Staff to join our team in Framingham So, Middlesex County, providing person-centered care and support to individuals in our residential programs. This is a full-time position with a starting rate of $18.50/hour and a set weekly schedule including evening and weekend shifts.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and support to individuals in residential settings
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and household tasks
• Support residents in achieving personal goals and participating in community activities
• Monitor and report on resident health, safety, and well-being
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with supervisors and care teams
• Respond compassionately to residents' needs and concerns throughout your shift
• Uphold person-centered values and respect resident dignity and autonomy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Availability to work scheduled shifts: Wednesday 2–11pm, Thursday 2–11pm, Friday 3–11pm, and Saturday 9am–11pm
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical capability to assist residents with daily activities as needed
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Background check and reference verification required
• Compassion, patience, and genuine interest in supporting others
