DevOps Automation Engineer

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential technology consulting organization in their search for a DevOps Automation Engineer. This is a 100% remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

Our client is seeking an engineer with deep infrastructure-as-code expertise to design, build, and maintain the Terraform foundations that power their cloud and hybrid environments. You'll focus on creating reusable modules, hardening pipelines, enforcing policy-as-code, and standardizing infrastructure delivery across multiple teams and cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade Terraform infrastructure across cloud environments
• Create reusable Terraform modules with clean APIs and version discipline
• Manage Terraform state, backends, and large-scale workspace organization
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code with automated policy enforcement
• Enforce infrastructure standards and best practices across multiple teams and accounts
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on infrastructure issues
• Maintain Git-based workflows including code review, branching, and release management
• Apply software engineering discipline to infrastructure work at scale

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps engineering with significant Terraform focus
• Deep, hands-on expertise authoring and maintaining production Terraform across at least one major cloud provider
• Strong experience designing reusable Terraform modules
• Hands-on experience with Terraform state management and backends
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity, and security primitives
• Strong Git-based workflows and code review experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred:

• Multi-cloud Terraform experience (AWS + Azure or AWS + GCP)
• Familiarity with Terragrunt, Atlantis, Spacelift, or env0
• Experience with policy-as-code engines (Sentinel, OPA, Checkov)
• Contributions to public Terraform modules or providers
• Exposure to FinOps practices and tagging-driven cost governance

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $75,000–$95,000 annually. This is a full-time, direct W2 position with our client.
