About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential organization in the professional education sector. Our talent team is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis function. This is a remote, full-time position open to candidates across the United States.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on role where you will query data, build dashboards, and deliver insights that inform decisions across the organization, including at the executive and board level. You will work with modern BI tools, cloud data infrastructure, and AI-assisted analytics to help the business make better, data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Query cloud data warehouses using SQL and AI-assisted tooling to answer business questions and support recurring reporting
  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPI trackers, operational metrics, and performance views in modern business intelligence platforms
  • Embed AI tools into reporting processes to automate data preparation, accelerate analysis, and improve report delivery
  • Own data integrity: reconcile figures to source systems, validate against business rules, and proactively resolve discrepancies before reports reach stakeholders
  • Translate stakeholder questions into well-scoped analysis and present findings in a clear, actionable manner
  • Establish and maintain documentation for data definitions, report logic, and analytics processes
  • Help build scalable reporting infrastructure by standardizing datasets, automating manual steps, and extending the unified data layer
  • Partner with leaders across departments to understand reporting needs and deliver dashboards they actually use
  • Collaborate with data engineering on schema changes, new data sources, and pipeline issues

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or FP&A support roles (strong internships or academic projects count)
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining recurring reports or dashboards in a modern BI platform
  • Working proficiency in SQL, including joins, aggregations, and filtering across multiple tables
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and well-structured workbooks
  • Practical experience using AI tools in a data or reporting context
  • Strong commitment to data integrity and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership
  • Proactive problem-solver who flags and fixes reporting gaps without waiting to be asked
  • Adaptable and able to pick up new tools quickly while juggling multiple stakeholder requests

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation
  • Understanding of finance or FP&A concepts such as budgets, actuals, variance, and KPIs
  • Experience with version control or data-transformation tooling
  • Exposure to subscription or e-commerce business models
  • Data visualization skills with an eye for clean, readable dashboard design
  • Direct experience working in a cloud data warehouse or data lake environment
