Data Analyst:in Fundraising (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential nonprofit organization based in Berlin that works at the intersection of advocacy, policy, and corporate engagement. We are seeking a Data Analyst - Fundraising to join their six-person Fundraising & Engagement team. This is a full-time permanent position (35 hours/week) with significant remote work flexibility available for candidates based in or around Berlin.

In this role, you will develop and maintain scalable performance monitoring systems for fundraising and engagement activities. You'll optimize fundraising and mobilization efforts through data-driven insights, ensuring data quality and integrity across all donor and supporter touchpoints. Your KPI reporting, testing frameworks, and analyses will provide the foundation for strategic decision-making around fundraising campaigns, mobilization efforts, and supporter journeys.

Responsibilities

• Segment and prepare data for fundraising and engagement campaigns
• Develop, maintain, and document SQL queries and recurring evaluation logic
• Evaluate fundraising, engagement, and mobilization initiatives against agreed KPIs
• Create monthly reports and dashboards highlighting key performance indicators
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests, deriving actionable learnings
• Analyze supporter journeys, audience segments, and demographics to inform optimization strategies
• Produce ad-hoc analyses and strategic recommendations for leadership decisions
• Ensure data quality and integrity across CRM systems and databases

What We're Looking For

• Degree or vocational training in fundraising, business administration, controlling, computer science, statistics, or data science (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in digital fundraising within a nonprofit organization
• Strong command of qualitative and quantitative data analysis tools, including tracking and analytics platforms
• Proficiency with SQL databases and CRM systems
• Proven experience with A/B and multivariate testing methodologies
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or similar platforms
• Structured, independent work style with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to remain calm and focused under deadline pressure
• Flexibility in responding to unexpected challenges and finding alternative solutions
• Collaborative mindset and comfort working with distributed teams
• Experience using AI tools thoughtfully in daily workflows, understanding the importance of clear task definition, context, and verification
• Alignment with the mission and values of impact-driven nonprofit work
• German language proficiency required; position based in Berlin

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process. The client offers an annual salary between €45,996 and €52,895 (experience-dependent) plus performance bonuses, cafeteria-style benefits (including transportation subsidies or additional vacation days), health benefits subsidies, and pension contributions.
