About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential agricultural advocacy organization in Illinois for a County Manager Associate Intern position. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in membership services, event planning, and community engagement within the agricultural sector.
Our client is seeking motivated students to work alongside experienced county managers, learning the fundamentals of member relations, program development, and organizational leadership in a grassroots setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and coordinating events and programs for organizational members
- Prepare materials and documentation for board meetings
- Attend monthly board meetings and support administrative functions
- Lead and complete a membership engagement project from concept to execution
- Work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends as required
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow interns on organizational initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field
- Available to work full-time hours from late May 2027 to early August 2027
- Graduation date of August 2027 or later
- Interest in pursuing a county management career path after graduation
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Willingness to potentially extend internship part-time through fall 2027 and spring 2028
