About the Role
The Cook position is essential to PATH's interim housing operations. Working alongside kitchen and case management staff, you'll plan, prepare, and deliver three complete meals daily plus snacks and refreshments. You'll foster a warm, welcoming home environment where every guest feels valued and cared for throughout their stay at Bridges at Kraemer.
What You'll Do
- Plan and prepare nutritious, varied meals that meet dietary needs and preferences for PATH interim housing guests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen that meets food safety and health standards
- Coordinate with case management and volunteer staff to understand guest needs and program schedules
- Serve meals and snacks consistently, ensuring every guest is welcomed and nourished
- Follow PATH's interim housing values, guidelines, and protocols to maintain program integrity
- Support and train volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and productive kitchen experience
What We're Looking For
- Current Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation, insurance, and proof of vehicle ownership (driving is an essential function of this role)
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and populations
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment to ethical, professional standards and maintaining appropriate boundaries
- Preferred: one year of paid culinary or food service experience

Position Details
Location: Anaheim, CA 92806 (Orange County)
Pay: $21.00–$26.00 per hour (24 pay periods annually)
Shift options: Sun–Thurs 5:00am–1:30pm / Tues–Sat 6:00am–2:30pm / Tues–Sat 11:00am–7:30pm
Employment type: Full-time, non-exempt
Requirements: Proof of employment eligibility, tuberculosis test, background screening, and drug test as conditions of hire.
