Role Overview

Headquartered in the Americas and operating globally, Customer.io is a SaaS-first company that helps over 9,000 companies—from startups to global brands—send automated communications that people actually want to receive. We are looking for a part-time Senior IT Specialist contractor to join our distributed team as we scale. This role involves hands-on support, improving and automating workflows, and contributing to our security and compliance posture.

What You'll Do

• Owning tier 1-2 support across hardware, software, SaaS apps, and remote connectivity with a customer-service-first mindset
• Executing employee lifecycle workflows (onboarding, offboarding, role changes) and improving assigned steps through automation and process refinement
• Administering identity and access management: provisioning, SSO, group and role-based access across core systems
• Maintaining day-to-day device fleet health via MDM (device compliance, endpoint protection, patching, configuration)
• Supporting SOC 2, ISO, and HIPAA compliance through evidence collection, access review prep, and control adherence
• Working across our core tools - Okta (or similar), Jira, Notion, Linear - to triage, track, and resolve requests

What You Bring

We are looking for a candidate with experience in IT operations, strong technical skills, and a passion for customer service. Familiarity with MDM tools, SaaS applications, and identity management systems is essential. Experience in automating workflows and ensuring compliance across various security standards would be a significant plus.
