Registered Nurse Healthcare Advocate (Remote 1099) – RN

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology client seeking Registered Nurse Healthcare Advocates to join their growing team. This is a remote 1099 contract position where you'll set your own schedule—part-time, full-time, or anywhere in between. All patient interactions are conducted via phone or video call.

In this role, you'll guide patients through complex healthcare situations, helping them navigate their care journey while addressing both clinical needs and social determinants of health. You'll serve as an empathetic listener and action-oriented problem solver, building trust-based relationships that lead to meaningful health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Learn and utilize proprietary systems, tools, and technology while bringing your unique clinical expertise to every patient interaction
• Build strong, trusting relationships with patients through empathetic listening and compassionate communication
• Identify and prioritize patient needs, developing individualized care plans that ensure consistent action over time
• Create comprehensive care strategies that holistically address social determinants of health, including food security, transportation access, and home support resources
• Guide patients through difficult and complex health concerns while helping them achieve their wellness goals

What We're Looking For

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience working with diverse patient populations across various healthcare settings
• Strong empathy and a genuine drive to advocate for patients who need support navigating the healthcare system
• Excellent clinical and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
• Technical adaptability—you can learn new systems and platforms quickly and efficiently
• Action-oriented mindset—when you identify a need, you take initiative to address it
• Must be based in the United States
