Consulting Architect – Security (EMEA / Public Sector eligible )

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential security technology organization seeking a Consulting Architect - Security to lead hands-on delivery of security platform projects across EMEA public sector and government clients.

You will assess client environments, design solutions that modernize SOC and threat detection capabilities, and deliver end-to-end implementations from discovery through production deployment. This includes:

• Analyzing customer goals, existing architecture, and threat landscape to develop technical requirements
• Designing SIEM, endpoint, and cloud security architectures that integrate with the customer's wider security ecosystem
• Leading hands-on delivery of greenfield deployments and migrations from legacy SIEM/EDR platforms in mission-critical environments
• Deploying and securing platforms: cluster architecture, RBAC, single sign-on, private connectivity (VPC peering, private links), and hardening for enterprise and government environments
• Architecting large-scale data ingestion pipelines with agents, normalizing data and integrating sources such as Kafka, Azure Event Hub, and AWS S3
• Developing security content aligned to the customer's threat landscape: detection rules, dashboards, and alerting workflows
• Establishing detection-as-code practices: developing, testing, versioning, and deploying detection content with Python, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Applying AI capabilities (AI assistants, attack discovery, agent-driven workflows) to accelerate detection and response
• Delivering engagements on time and within Statement of Work (SOW) scope
• Communicating with stakeholders from SOC engineers to CISO/C-suite level
• Leading demos, proof-of-concepts, and hands-on workshops to drive customer enablement

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Minimum 5 years as a Consulting Architect, Senior Consultant, or in a senior IT technical leadership role delivering professional services engagements, ideally in security
• Solid experience deploying security platforms such as SIEM (Splunk, MS Sentinel, QRadar, ArcSight) and/or EDR platforms (CrowdStrike, MS Defender), or at least 2 years as a Security Analyst/Detection Engineer in threat detection and response
• An architect's view of the security ecosystem: SOAR, vulnerability management, penetration testing, ticketing, security policies, and how they connect in a SOC
• Scripting skills, ideally in Python; exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, and on-prem and/or public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong customer advocacy, relationship-building, and communication skills
• Eligibility to obtain national security clearance in your country of employment (our client will sponsor where required)
• Willingness to travel and work onsite with customers (up to 60% of the time), combined with comfort working remotely in a distributed team
• Strong proficiency in English and the local market language

Bonus:

• Experience with advanced search platform operations: cluster architecture, shard management, data ingestion, and data tiering at scale
• Experience with detection-as-code: authoring, testing, and versioning detection content managed in Git
• Experience automating deployments with Python, Terraform, and CI/CD tooling (GitLab pipelines)
• Experience deploying containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift)
• Experience with Agentic AI and LLM-based security workflows: AI assistants, automated triage, agent-driven investigation
• Experience as a Tier-2/Tier-3 SOC Analyst, Threat Hunter, or DevSecOps Engineer
• Experience in large distributed environments or MSSPs
• Experience delivering enablement sessions, technical workshops, or product training
• Security certifications such as GIAC or CISSP
