Staff Engineer – Fullstack

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Staff Engineer - Fullstack to join their team in Berlin. In this role, you will:

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for a high-quality SaaS product
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, accessible solutions that delight customers
• Influence technical decisions and drive long-term sustainable solutions to accommodate future growth
• Continuously improve development processes, CI/CD pipeline, and automation practices
• Take ownership of major technical decisions, proactively addressing system bottlenecks and ensuring product quality
• Contribute to and maintain technical roadmaps with engineering leadership to align priorities and business goals
• Manage and prioritize projects and initiatives across multiple teams
• Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and leadership

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a staff-level engineer with the following qualifications:

• Proven track record as a Staff Engineer or Technical Lead with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Extensive experience with Go on the backend and React on the frontend
• Knowledge of architecture and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to drive technical direction, including making decisions on architectural trade-offs and evaluating long-term impact
• Experience managing architecture projects across multiple development teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
• Previous experience working alongside Product and Design Leaders in an Agile environment
• Passion for building high-quality software

The tech stack includes: React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Kotlin, Go, Java, MongoDB, Terraform, Docker, and Playwright.
