Staff Engineer – Fullstack

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Staff Engineer - Fullstack to join their technical leadership team in Chemnitz, Sachsen. In this role, you will:

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for a modern employee communications platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality, reliable, and accessible SaaS product
• Influence technical decisions and documentation, driving long-term sustainable solutions to accommodate future growth
• Continuously improve development processes, CI/CD pipeline, and automation practices
• Take ownership of major technical decisions, proactively addressing system bottlenecks and ensuring product quality
• Contribute to and maintain technical roadmaps with engineering leadership to align priorities and business goals
• Manage and prioritize projects and initiatives across multiple teams
• Foster a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and leadership by example

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking an experienced technical leader with:

• Proven track record as a Staff Engineer or Technical Lead with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Extensive experience with Go on the backend and React on the frontend
• Working knowledge of their tech stack including TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Kotlin, Java, MongoDB, Terraform, Docker, and Playwright
• Deep knowledge of architecture and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to drive technical direction, including making decisions on architectural trade-offs and evaluating long-term impact
• Experience managing architecture projects across multiple development teams, aligned with their roadmaps and stakeholders
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Previous experience working alongside Product and Design Leaders to deliver customer value in an Agile environment
• Passion for building high-quality software and fostering inclusive, diverse teams
