About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential public sector consultancy based in Berlin. Our client is at the forefront of digital transformation for government agencies and administrative bodies across Germany. This is an exciting opportunity for a consultant who wants to shape how citizens interact with public services through modern IT solutions.

This role is based in Berlin with flexible remote work options available throughout Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape consulting projects focused on public sector digitalization initiatives
• Support government clients at federal, state, and municipal levels in implementing digital transformation projects
• Design strategies, organizational structures, and processes for public administrative bodies
• Collaborate with project teams to gather client requirements and develop innovative solution concepts
• Guide the full lifecycle of IT solution implementations from preparation through piloting, testing, and go-live
• Facilitate workshops, information sessions, and training programs for diverse stakeholders
• Prepare documentation including guidelines, handbooks, and materials for committee involvement
• Support post-implementation activities including user support, hypercare, and transition to stable operations
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and knowledge sharing within the team

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in political science, public administration, administrative informatics, law, business informatics, or another relevant field that qualifies you for this work
• Initial experience in consulting or IT project management; familiarity with public administration is particularly valued
• Strong understanding of project planning and management methodologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage different user groups and stakeholders through change processes
• Ability to translate complex content into clear, accessible formats for various audiences
• Technical understanding and interest in system implementation topics including configuration, interfaces, data migration, customization, and testing
• Strategic thinking about post-go-live support structures and user feedback mechanisms
• Genuine interest in public administration digitalization and how modern IT services are successfully introduced in government organizations
• Knowledge of digital governance frameworks, data protection, or IT service management is a plus, though eagerness to learn these areas is most important
• German language proficiency required for working with government clients
