Position Summary

As a Collection and Delivery Driver with DPD Group UK in Abergele, you'll play a crucial role in our parcel delivery operations. Operating a 3.5 tonne van, you'll collect and deliver packages to customers throughout the Abergele area and surrounding regions, ensuring parcels arrive safely and on time. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver parcels using an assigned 3.5 tonne delivery vehicle
• Plan efficient delivery routes to meet daily targets and customer expectations
• Obtain customer signatures and manage proof-of-delivery documentation
• Conduct pre-shift vehicle safety checks and report any faults or damage immediately
• Handle customer queries professionally and courteously throughout the delivery day
• Maintain accurate delivery records and update systems in real-time
• Load and unload parcels safely, following weight distribution and handling guidelines
• Comply with all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company driving standards

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record
• Full Category C or C1 driving licence for 3.5 tonne vehicles
• Proven experience as a delivery or collection driver
• Excellent time management and route planning abilities
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Physical fitness to lift and carry parcels regularly
• Reliability and punctuality in all working commitments
• Knowledge of Abergele and surrounding areas, or willingness to learn local geography
