About the Role
As a Clinical Sales Specialist focused on immunodiagnostics, you'll represent Thermo Fisher Scientific's portfolio of laboratory diagnostic instruments and reagents to healthcare providers, clinical labs, and medical institutions throughout the Philadelphia area. You'll serve as the primary clinical expert and trusted advisor, helping facilities understand how our solutions enhance testing accuracy, operational efficiency, and patient care delivery. This role combines direct customer engagement, product education, and consultative selling to expand our diagnostic footprint in one of the country's largest healthcare markets.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Conduct product demonstrations and clinical training sessions for laboratory professionals and pathologists
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with laboratory directors, clinical supervisors, and procurement teams
- Identify opportunities to implement immunodiagnostic solutions and shepherd accounts through the evaluation and adoption process
- Present clinical evidence and technical data to support diagnostic testing decisions
- Provide ongoing support during product integration and troubleshooting at customer sites
- Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams to develop targeted outreach strategies
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform territory strategy
Who We're Looking For
- Proven sales or technical sales experience, ideally in clinical diagnostics, laboratory equipment, or healthcare solutions
- Strong understanding of immunodiagnostic testing, laboratory workflows, or clinical laboratory operations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts
- Resourcefulness in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, healthcare administration, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Philadelphia region
