Clinical Sales Specialist, Electrophysiology LAAO (Charleston, SC)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential medical device organization in their search for a Clinical Sales Specialist focused on Electrophysiology and Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) technologies. This field-based role will be centered in the Charleston, SC market and requires extensive travel (50%+) to support clinical procedures and customer education.

You'll serve as a critical clinical resource, providing procedure coverage, technical support, and education to interventional cardiologists, catheter lab teams, and healthcare facilities. This is an opportunity to directly impact patient outcomes while working with advanced cardiac rhythm and stroke prevention technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and procedure coverage for electrophysiology and structural heart cases across your assigned territory
• Train interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff, and ancillary personnel on proper product use and clinical techniques
• Deliver technical troubleshooting and real-time support to physicians during procedures
• Partner with territory sales managers to ensure optimal case coverage and patient outcomes
• Conduct in-service education sessions on product features, clinical applications, and therapy advancements
• Engage in clinical, procedural, and technical discussions with healthcare providers, linking clinical data to key therapeutic messaging
• Identify customer clinical needs and constraints, offering creative solutions aligned with patient care goals
• Communicate product updates, clinical data, and market intelligence to internal teams and customers

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• 9+ years of cardiovascular-related work experience
• 3+ years of specific clinical experience in Structural Heart or Electrophysiology
• Ability to satisfy all healthcare facility vendor credentialing requirements
• Willingness to travel extensively (50%+ overnight travel expected)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong clinical orientation with ability to influence diverse clinician personality types

Preferred:

• Degree in life sciences or formal medical training (RN, EMT, Perfusionist, or similar)
• Direct experience with interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery products
• Familiarity with echocardiography and indirect imaging modalities
• Experience supporting left atrial appendage occlusion or stroke prevention therapies

Pay

The client has indicated a base salary range of $78,000–$156,000 for this position, with actual placement depending on experience and qualifications. Final compensation details will be discussed during the client interview stage.
