U.S. Xpress is hiring experienced Class A CDL company drivers for solo and team over-the-road positions based out of Benton, Marshall County. This is a full-time role delivering freight across the United States in modern dry van equipment.

About the Role

As a Class A CDL company driver with U.S. Xpress, you'll operate a commercial truck for over-the-road freight hauling. We're seeking drivers with 1–5 months of professional experience who are ready to build a sustainable career while maintaining flexible home time that works with your lifestyle.

Compensation & Earnings

U.S. Xpress offers competitive mileage-based compensation and sign-on incentives:

• Solo OTR drivers: 54–60 cents per mile, depending on experience
• Typical solo operation: approximately 2,000 miles per week
• Top 20% of solo drivers earn $1,565 or more weekly
• $2,000 sign-on bonus for solo drivers
• Team drivers: $0.72–$0.80 per mile split rate, averaging 5,000 miles weekly
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for team driver positions (split with partner)
• Flexible home time scheduling built around your needs

What You'll Do

• Operate a Class A commercial truck safely and professionally across multiple states
• Transport dry van freight on schedule from origin to destination
• Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with DOT regulations
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Coordinate with dispatch and communicate professionally with customers

What We're Looking For

• Current Class A CDL in good standing
• 1–5 months of commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record and background
• Ability to pass DOT physical and background screening
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Strong work ethic and professional demeanor
