About the Role
U.S. Xpress is hiring Class A CDL drivers with 1 to 5 months of commercial driving experience for solo over-the-road positions. As a dry van operator, you'll transport freight loads across the United States, averaging approximately 2,000 miles per week. What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle over-the-road, managing long-haul routes and delivery schedules
- Transport dry van freight loads solo across US highways while maintaining safety and compliance standards
- Maintain DOT regulatory compliance, accurate logs, vehicle inspections, and professional documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch and plan home time around your OTR schedule
- Deliver loads safely and on time while upholding company and federal transportation standards
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL-A)
- 1 to 5 months of verified commercial truck driving experience
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical certification
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and professional communication
- Ability to operate independently and manage long-distance driving responsibility
