About the Role
As Director of Asset Management, you'll lead a talented team focused on managing and growing a diverse portfolio of tax credit investments and community development lending. In this strategic position, your expertise in structuring and managing complex tax credit deals will directly influence the bank's community development impact and financial performance.
What You'll Do
- Direct and mentor a team of asset managers responsible for tax credit investments and community development loans
- Oversee due diligence, closing, and ongoing administration for tax credit investments with particular expertise in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) structures
- Monitor and optimize portfolio performance across all tax credit and community development investments
- Build strategic relationships with syndicators, sponsors, and partners throughout the tax credit ecosystem
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with both financial objectives and the bank's community development mission
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting tax credit programs, LIHTC policies, and community development lending requirements
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting on investment performance to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience closing and managing diverse tax credit investments, with substantial expertise in LIHTC
- Proven track record leading and developing teams in a financial services or investment environment
- Deep knowledge of community development finance, tax credit structures, and related lending products
- Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and ensure compliance across multiple investment types
- Excellent communication skills for explaining sophisticated investment concepts to stakeholders
