SBA Product Business Development Officer Senior

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Senior SBA Product Business Development Officer for our Atlanta, Fulton County location. In this full-time role, you'll drive new business growth by connecting Small Business Administration (SBA) loan-eligible companies with tailored financing solutions from our comprehensive banking services portfolio.

About the Role

As a Senior SBA Product Business Development Officer, you'll serve as a strategic business consultant to small business owners and executives, identifying growth opportunities through SBA loan programs and other Huntington banking products. Your success will be measured by your ability to build lasting client relationships, analyze business needs accurately, and close opportunities that drive mutual growth.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and develop relationships with SBA-eligible small businesses across our Atlanta territory
• Market and promote SBA loan products and complementary banking services aligned with client needs
• Originate SBA loans by gathering financial information, evaluating client creditworthiness, and structuring proposals
• Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on loan applications
• Maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and manage deals through closing
• Stay current on SBA program updates, lending guidelines, and competitive market dynamics
• Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and operations teams to expedite deal execution
• Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual business development targets

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record originating and closing SBA loans or commercial loans to small business clients
• Deep knowledge of SBA loan programs, requirements, and compliance standards
• Strong sales ability and comfort prospecting new business development opportunities
• Excellent analytical and credit evaluation skills
• Ability to build rapport and credibility with business owners and financial professionals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with CRM systems and banking software platforms
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in finance, business, or banking
