Chemist/Executive -R&D

Avid Organics seeks a dedicated Chemist/Executive for our Research & Development department in Vadodara, Gujarat. This full-time position offers the opportunity to advance chemical innovation through hands-on laboratory work and professional development in a growing organisation.

About the Role

As a Chemist/Executive in our R&D department, you'll take a central role in developing and optimising chemical processes. You'll work directly with laboratory instrumentation and experimental methodologies, contributing to the innovation pipeline that drives our business forward. Your work will span from initial concept through to scaled implementation, requiring both technical precision and problem-solving acumen.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct laboratory experiments, including chemical reactions, distillation, vacuum distillation, and separation processes
• Set up and manage complex experimental assemblies and apparatus according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all experimental procedures, observations, and results
• Execute risk assessments and implement safety protocols to ensure a secure laboratory environment
• Analyse experimental data and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
• Monitor and maintain R&D laboratory instruments and glassware

Requirements

• Strong foundational knowledge of chemical reactions and chemical compounds
• Practical familiarity with R&D laboratory instruments and standard glassware
• Proven ability to conduct experiments safely and manage laboratory risk
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate record-keeping
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot experimental challenges
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
