Aramark is seeking a Chef Manager to lead culinary operations and dining services for Western New Mexico University in Silver, Grant County. As a full-time Chef Manager, you'll take ownership of kitchen management, food preparation standards, and team performance while reporting directly to the General Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership position where culinary expertise meets operational oversight. You'll combine your passion for food quality with the business acumen needed to run a university dining operation. Your focus will be on delivering excellent customer experiences, maintaining the highest food safety standards, and developing your culinary team into high-performing professionals.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and meal service delivery
  • Develop and execute menus that meet nutritional standards, dietary preferences, and customer satisfaction
  • Hire, train, and mentor culinary and kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and safety
  • Implement and maintain rigorous food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance protocols
  • Manage inventory, control food costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Build strong relationships with university stakeholders, dining customers, and team members
  • Monitor food quality and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and used safely

What We're Looking For

  • Proven culinary expertise and experience managing kitchen operations or food service
  • Leadership experience with the ability to train, motivate, and manage teams
