About the Role
As a CDL-A Tanker Driver with Western Dairy Transport, you'll haul specialized liquid cargo across established lanes throughout the I-80 and I-90 corridors. This is OTR (over-the-road) work suited for drivers seeking consistent weekly miles, predictable routes, and the respect that comes with working for a carrier that values its team.
What You'll Do
- Safely transport liquid commodities in tanker trailers while maintaining DOT compliance and safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment integrity
- Plan routes and manage schedules to meet delivery windows while optimizing fuel efficiency
- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation for all trips and compliance audits
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and shippers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience (tanker experience preferred)
- Clean driving record with no serious violations
- Ability to pass background check and DOT medical certification
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work OTR routes with flexible home time scheduling
