CDL A Driver

What This Role Involves

As a CDL A Driver with UR, you'll operate commercial vehicles hauling freight and cargo across regional routes. This is hands-on, on-the-road work where attention to detail and defensive driving practices are essential. You'll manage vehicle condition checks, route navigation, and compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. Your work directly supports our customers' supply chain success and UR's reputation for dependable service.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and professionally on assigned routes
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Plan efficient routes and adhere to delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate logbooks and communicate regularly with dispatch
• Comply with DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safety protocols
• Secure cargo and perform loading/unloading as required
• Respond promptly to dispatch communications and customer needs

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record
• Documented experience operating commercial vehicles
• Current DOT medical certificate and ability to pass background screening
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
• Reliable, punctual, and professional work habits
• Strong communication and customer service mindset
